The movies characters are not human. They are perceptions of humans. They represent humans in the movie. Humans are people born of women. Humans are born of humans. If a person has artifical limbs or organs, they are still human if they were born of a women. They have to have been produced by human sperm cells, grow in the womb of a human and birth by a human to be human.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 14, 2007 by sharneytI think that the media does direct our train of thought. I believe that if you see something all the time, that you will start to believe in it, especially if you are a young child. I do, however feel that Disney is not all responsible for what images children see. I don’t feel that their intensions were to be racist or sexist. I do feel that they were just carring out the perceptions of what the world was already fulfilling.
Media portrays women to be perfect, so naturally movies and toys follow to keep peoples interest. If you go see a movie that you didn’t understand or had nothing in common with the characters, would you go out and buy the action figure or the pretty plush stuffed animal? I wouldn’t. Children, as well as adults, like what they can relate to or dream of. So it is not Disney’s fault that those images were something that we all were use to seeing. As a generation, we need to learn how to raise our children and stop giving the responsibility to the TV .
